Scrolls iPad release date missing after Android launch

There’s a new card game in town and it looks like Hearthstone has some fierce competition. Minecraft makers Mojang have just launched Scrolls for tablet, a new strategy card game. However, the Scrolls iPad release date is nowhere in sight for Apple’s device.

We have been building up to this launch for a number of weeks and now it’s fantastic to finally see that Android owners can download Scrolls on tablet.

Initially, we thought that an iPad version of Scrolls would be a simultaneous release, but now we have since learned that for some reason the iPad version is taking longer than expected.

It’s almost ironic to think that this is the exact opposite of what is happening with Hearthstone at the moment. That is in relation to the fact that Hearthstone launched on iPad primarily, but is still yet to appear on Android tablet despite promises from Blizzard that it would be out before the end of the year.

Unfortunately though, there’s no concrete evidence from Mojang yet to suggest an iPad version of Scrolls is coming this month – so you’ll just have to play the Android version for now if you need a mobile copy.

At the moment, reviews have been very positive on the Google Play Store so Scrolls has got off to a very solid launch indeed. If you are an iPad gamer reading this, let us know if you are a bit disappointed that Mojang is staying silent on an iPad version.

We wonder if there’s any correlation with the fact that it often takes Apple weeks to approve Minecraft PE updates on iOS, as opposed to Android where it’s instant?
