Screenshots Reveal BlackBerry OS 6.0 Features / Functionality

This year we have seen Apple launch iOS 4, Google release Android 2.2 (FroYo) and the Symbian Foundation work on Symbian^3, therefore a lot of BlackBerry owners are keen to see what RIM have up its sleeves.

Luckily some screenshots have shown up on the official BlaclkBerry Blog, these shows off the new and improved home screen, highlights include a more customizable home screen, a cleaner and sleeker look and much more intuitive navigation.

If you check out BlackBerry Blog’s recent post you can see that OS 6.0 will feature five different views for users to quickly find what you are looking for, these are “Frequent”, “Favorites”, “Media”, “Downloads” and “All”.

RIM seem to be very keen on giving you quick access to frequently viewed settings pages etc, so much so that they have combined the connections and alarm options into one easy to use screen, also worth a mention is the new notification bar which gives you quick access to new messages, missed calls and calendar appointments etc.

If you check out the source link below you can see a very deep look into some of BlackBerry OS 6.0’s design, I must admit I like the look of the new interface, do you?
