It’s no secret that Snapchat for Android and iPhone is still one of the most popular social apps on the market right now. Naturally though, given the nature of the app users have been desiring the ability to save Snapchat videos, stories, and pictures on Android.
At the same time though, it defeats the whole purpose of the app so obviously there has been divided opinion on those that go down this route. If you regularly use Snapchat though, you should be aware that there are save Snapchat apps on Android out there, so take this as a warning if you share sensitive material.
For instance, it is not hard to find examples of this on the Google Play Store. We did a quick search and found Snapsave for Snapchat and Snapchat Saver – two Android apps that can easily find a way to save Snapchat pictures and videos.
Perhaps worrying for some of the Snapchat addicts out there, is that one of these apps also has the ability to save Snapchat videos privately, without letting the other user know. Both apps can also be installed on Android without needing to root a device beforehand – so that’s another heads-up for you.
Snapchat is fun, but only when used safely. You may want to think twice before sending pictures and videos next time though, since apps that can save Snapchat messages are freely out there for everyone to use and abuse.
Are you a regular Snapchat user? Let us know what you think of this and if you have seen evidence of others using similar apps.
