It seems like another technology company is understanding what teasing consumers can do for upcoming product launches and in this case the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, although this type of marketing is something Apple is very good at thanks to keeping silent on just about every feature and specification. Today Samsung released a video that not only teased Unpacked 2012, but also wanted Samsung mobile fans to understand that their “magical moments” are about to become a reality in 9 days time.
You can see the teaser video below this article and take a look at Wim Wenders explaining that a “small and light thing” can help “anybody” do it, and this tantalizing video is blatantly talking about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. You can see a stylus being pulled out of a device and the message of usability being promoted for an upcoming gadget, which will be revealed at Samsung’s Unpacked event.
Quick Galaxy Note 2 guessing versus small and light statement — it didn’t take long for more than 3,000 people to like the posting on Samsung’s Facebook page, which also saw a lot of Android fans state that this teaser video is definitely for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The only issue here is that the very same video claims the device is “small” and “light“, which we can understand making the Galaxy Note 2 lighter but there’s nothing small about it.
The original Galaxy Note has a screen measuring around 5.3-inches and the Galaxy Note 2 is expected to increase this to 5.5-inches, although that should be done without increasing the form factor, so how can a smartphone/tablet-like device with a display this big be classed as small? We can only think Samsung might be comparing their Galaxy Note 2 to tablets and the similarities with what both devices can do, although there is always the chance that this tease is for something new and different.
How would you feel if this tease is for something different, and not the Samsung Galaxy Note 2? We doubt this will be the case and expect the Samsung event to reveal a newer and lighter Galaxy Note, although we’d love to know if you class this device as small? Watch the video below and let us know what you think about Samsung’s tease, and will you be one of the first lining up for a Galaxy Note 2?
