Samsung TA750 / TA950 3D HDTV Monitors: Release and Price Info

We first heard about Samsung’s SyncMaster TA950 and TA750 3D TV/Monitor hybrids back in January of this year, when Samsung debuted them at the CES 2011 event. We have news for those of you that could be interested in purchasing one, as we now have the release and price info.

As Chris Davies over at recently noted, both models have pretty much the same specs such as a 27-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, active 2D-to-3D upscaling, two USB ports and two HDMI ports. Neither models come with integrated Wi-Fi, but there is wired Ethernet.

The TA950 floats neatly on a curving stand, while the TA750 model juts forward on a circular foot. Picture quality is said to be quite impressive on both sets, with Samsung’s Ultra Clear panel technology doing a good job with both 2D and 3D content without any blurring.

Having standalone monitor support and a TV tuner in the same screen makes both SyncMaster models a great addition to your desktop. Both sets also come with picture-in-picture support and Smart Hub smart TV functionality such as Your Video, Search All and Samsung Apps.

Both the Samsung SyncMaster TA750 and the TA950 will be available in the United States sometime this month. Priced from $599.99. Would you buy either of these monitor/TV hybrids?
