Samsung Smart TV Apps and Gamers While PSN Down

When it comes to gamers and especially those with the Sony PS3, it’s been a rollercoaster of a week, with the worst thing possible happening to PS3 owners, no online gameplay while the PSN is down. Its just a matter time before the damage is undone after the PlayStation Network was Hacked, although many gamers are feeling bored.

While single player games are good fun, they do not offer the feeling of community found in online gaming. With the above in-mind and more time this week freed up this week for gamers, we wanted to find out what “The Gamer” thinks about Samsung Smart TV’s, the apps available, and what they would like to see added in the coming year?

Gamers can have a totally different view to other people, and they’re also more clued up in online matters than most. For Samsung’s Connected TV’s to succeed with this group of people, they will need to offer apps that are social, interactive, fun, and have a sense of community.

You can see a full list of apps available on certain Samsung “Smart” TVs in this PDF file here. We would like to know if you own a Smart TV, especially if it’s from Samsung, and what apps you like the most, that’s presuming you use them. Also what would you like to see in the near future, could you see gaming apps increase and take some of your precious time, especially after the week PSN users have had?

Leave your thoughts in the comments, and feel free to read more on Samsung’s Smart TV apps here.

We predict televisions with high-end graphics built-in within the next 5 years, just like mobile phones have become our all-in-one devices today, more gaming could be done via built-in TV hardware, although this could have its drawbacks too.
