Samsung Series 9 13-inch Specs, Price and Release Date

Samsung have finally put a price on their new 9 series range of ultraportables and have said they will be available from March 17. You can go to Slashgear‘s site to see pictures and a full press release on them, in our article we will talk about specs and pricing infor regarding the 13-inch models.

First of all, there will be two models to choose from, one with the Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed at $1,649 MSRP or the other with Windows 7 Professional pre-installed at $1,699 MSRP. Both models however will feature Intel Core i5 2537M processor (1.4GHz, 3MB) with 4GB DDR3 and Intel HD GT graphics.

The press release mentions a 128GB SSDrive, however there are suggestions that there will be a wider range of Hard Drive sizes to choose from. The screen is a HD LED-backlit SuperBright Plus Display (400 nit) with a screen resolution of 1366×768 and there are also 3 watt stereo speakers (1.5W x 2) and a reasonable 7 hours of battery life thanks to its Lithium Polymer battery.

Other specs include built-in WiFi 802.11b/g/n and also includes WiMax connectivity, in total the 13-inch model weighs just 2.89 lbs, this makes it just half a pound heavier than the new Macbook Air.

The laptop looks very impressive and the specs are attractive enough for a mid-high-end laptop whilst still being ultraportable, will you buy the 13-inch Samsung 9 Series ultraportable?
