Going back a few years the laptop was taking over desktop sales. Then with the introduction of the tablet, laptop sales started to wain. However, sales of notebooks have started to improve slightly, and this has something to do with improvements being made so they are more powerful, thinner, and so much lighter.
One such model is the new Samsung Notebook 9, which was teased to us back in January at CES. The good news is, the 13.3-inch and 15-inch models are now available to purchase and you have three availability options, and these are either from Amazon, B&H and finally, direct from the Samsung Store.
Prices start from $1,000, but can go up to $1,400, which is still far cheaper than you pay for one of the high-end Macbook models.
Looking at the new Samsung Notebook 9, this does show just how out-of-date the current MacBook Air is, and is in need of a huge update. The last time it had an overall with its design was in 2010, and so its six-year design is showing its age.
Apple needs to look at the Notebook 9 for some sort of inspiration, but try not to copy too much. We know the MacBook Air is great in the hardware department, although it does need the latest Skylake processor from Intel.
Going back to the Samsung Notebook 9, and you might like to know its main specs are a choice of 6th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, 1080p HD LCD display, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M graphics card when you opt for the Core i7 CPU option.
