There is a new music streaming app in town and it is called Milk Music by Samsung. The Korean phone maker has again attempted to crack into the streaming music space and take on the likes of Spotify, but what have the early Milk Music app reviews from consumers been saying?
Samsung’s Milk Music app for Android has just launched and it is a service that can only be enjoyed on Samsung’s Galaxy devices. This exclusivity has already been a big talking point, as well as the fact that Samsung are currently offering free usage without any ads getting in the way.
Currently is the key word there though as what some of you may have missed, Milk Music won’t stay ad free forever. Be sure to note Samsung’s disclaimer on their Google Play listing for Milk Music which clearly states that ad free is only for a ‘limited time only’ – after that questions will surely be asked on the app.
So far though, while Milk Music remains ad free there has been a great response from fans. We can tell you that based on almost 3,000 user reviews on the Google Play Store, there are almost 2,000 5-star ratings on the app.
Comments from happy users have praised the brave, but entertaining Milk Music user interface that is featured on the app, while others are obviously very happy that the app is ad free considering that the free version of Spotify features ads almost after every song plays.
At the same time, others have said that Milk Music is an excellent alternative to Pandora and that the sound quality is very impressive for a free app.
The big question which obviously needs to be asked though, is what will happen when Milk Music introduces ads. Will Samsung introduce a premium service for those willing to pay to remove ads, or will Samsung just introduce the ads and hope that their app is established enough for users to keep using the app and live through occasional pauses in play?
If you have been using Milk Music already, feel free to give your own personal review below after using the service for a few days since launch.
Is it better than Pandora and Spotify yet in your opinion or not?
