Samsung finally decided to make the fun and affordable S3850 Corby II — a successor of the Samsung S3650 Corby phone — handset official recently, and although the display on the Corby II handset is slightly bigger than its predecessor, it still retains its QVGA resolution.
As recently noted over on the gsmarena.com website, the Samsung S3850 Corby II phone comes with a 3.14-inch display and although the handset is still 2G only (GSM/EDGE/GPRS), it does feature Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. Just like the first Corby phone, the S3850 features a 2MP camera.
The S3850 — which has a thickness of 11.7mm and a weight of 102 grams – also comes with a microSD card slot, which supports cards of up to 16GB, an FM radio with RDS and a 3.5mm audio jack. The TouchWiz UI appears to have been updated, and now comes with Facebook and Twitter apps pre-installed.
Samsung’s S3850 Corby II phone will be available in a number of colors including Fashion White, Candy Pink and Carnival Yellow. The handset will be launching in Germany sometime in late March, followed by India, China, Asia, Middle East, Africa, CIS, Latin America and Europe at a later date.
