We have recently come across a leaked screen which appears to show the specs of the Samsung GT-i9020 aka the Samung Google Nexus S, the screen doesn’t show a full breakdown of specs, however we have mixed this with another IntoMobile Nexus S post to get a good idea of what specs to expect.
Before listing what we believe to be the specs, you must be aware that at the moment the Nexus S has not been confirmed, therefore all of the following information is speculative, but based on what other sources have suggested thanks to leaked screens/images.
According to this IntoMobile article the Nexus S will feature a 4.5-inch WVGA sAMOLED2 display, a 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of storage, an 8 megapixel camera (with LED flash), WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 14.4 Mbps HDPDA, 5.76Mbps HSUPA, Android 2.3 Gingerbread and 1080p Full HD playback and record.
The leaked screen (here) shows us a lot of other details, including dimensions, supported network technologies, a 1500mAh battery, built-in GPS, a touchscreen display and much more.
The two articles slightly contradict each other when it comes to specs, one says the Nexus S will have a 5 megapixel camera, whilst the other states an 8 megapixel camera, also one mentions 14.4 Mbps HDPDA, whilst the other article does not list this as a supported network tecnhology.
It is fair to say that if the specs are anywhere near what the two sources suggest we are in for a pretty special smartphone, however I can’t help but worry that HD video capabilities mixed with a 1.2 GHz processor and a 1500mAh battery will result in poor battery life.
As we hear of an official spec listing we will keep you posted, what do you think of these impressive looking specs?
