Samsung Gear smartphone, tablet compatibility list

With the Samsung Gear range now available to purchase many consumer will be wondering what devices are compatible, and so Samsung has finally released its smartphone and tablet compatibility list for the Gear 2, Neo and Fit wearable devices.

Samsung shows that there are 20 smartphones and tablets that are compatible with the new Gear range, and have listed them all with a large image here.

Some of the most notable are the Galaxy S5 and S4, the Note 3, Mega 5.8, along with the new GalaxyPro range, and more importantly, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.

If you don’t have a Samsung device, fear not as we know the latest Gear range offers third-party support as well, with the HTC One M8 and Nexus 5 just two examples.

The apps that are currently available for the 2014 Gear devices are in their early stages, but a recent SDK will guarantee that more are to come, we just don’t know how long.

These Software Development Kits will help bring greater creativity to the Gear range, and so will help to enhance them much further.

We have yet to give the Gear 2, Gear Neo or Gear Fit a hands-on review, but we hope to down the line, although if an iWatch was to be released soon, then that could jump to the top of my list.
