Samsung Galaxy X release date and price update

There has been a big update on Samsung’s foldable smartphone availability now, with reports suggesting that it will be ready for release next year and will come to market as the Samsung Galaxy X.

A new article published by the Wall Street Journal suggests that the Galaxy X will launch in 2019 and that it will be offering a 7-inch display that has the ability to fold itself in half.

The device will have a secondary display on the outside whilst folded, which we assume will be for notifications, quick message viewing or just to look at the time.

Samsung are reportedly calling the Galaxy X ‘Winner’ internally and according to the WSJ it may cost as much as $1500 when it goes on sale.

At the moment, the big questions are how the fold will be achieved and you can see in the Tweet we’ve included here that there could be multiple ways of Samsung handling this.

At $1500 Samsung are going to have to pull out all of the stops if they are to convince buyers to upgrade to the Galaxy X.

Are you planning to buy this phone no matter what the cost?
