Samsung Galaxy Tab: WiFi Version – Official Release Date and Price

We have some important news for those of you who are looking to pick up the WiFi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, as the company has just made things official. We previously gave you some information on the WiFi-only device via leaks, but now it’s all been confirmed.

Those of you interested will be able to pick up the WiFi only Galaxy Tab on April 10th according to Samsung and as reported from Engadget. You’ll be able to pick up the device both online and in-store from retailers and the magic price you’re looking for is $349.99 – which isn’t too bad.

However, we have a feeling that most of you may be thinking that this device is very outdated now, considering the fact that it only ships with a 1Ghz single core processor and Android 2.2 Froyo. Don’t forget that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 tablets are still on the way, both of which will include a dual-core processor and Android 3.0 Honeycomb so it may be worth saving your cash until they’re out, it’s only going to be a few hundred more.

How many of you are interested in this? Is it worth it for $349? For $50 cheaper, you may be interested in the Gpad Gforce tablet which also comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, but a slightly slower processor. We did a review on it here which you can check out if you’re interested.
