Samsung Galaxy Tab: Sprint Release Date and Price

We have some good news for those of you planning to pick up the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, as the US carrier has officially announced a solid release date as well as a retail price for the highly anticipated device.

As reported from Engadget, Sprint has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be available to buy from Sprint Stores or online on Sunday November 14th.

Unlike Verizon’s rather hefty $600 price tag for their version of the Galaxy Tab, Sprint has announced that they will be charging customers $399 for one, bundled with a two-year subscription to Sprint’s 3G Tablet Mobile Broadband plan.

Alternatively, you can also buy one off contract on Sprint, priced at $599, with data options available in $29.99 for 2GB and $59.99 for 5GB of data.

What are your thoughts on the price and launch date? Seems a pretty good deal for Sprint customers anyway.

Form factor is better, imo than iPad considering the USB ports and palm size goodness. Price is a non issue as well until you consider the monthly data plan. Holy craziness batman. $60 a month? When are wireless companies going to finally switch to the cable tv model. Cable companies used to want you to pay monthly fees for every TV in your house too. That is, until customers wised up and stopped paying it. Tethering is the new cable splitter. I'll buy the non 3g version and tether it. I give Sprunt too much money as it is.

May appeal to anti-Apple folk but form factor will not fly as high as the iPad. You may be disappointed in battery life and functionality.

too expensive i cant throw $600 for it. just like android phone with a little bigger screen than android phone or iphone4 ill just wait on ipad 2nd gen. just look apple make a lot more better than any devices. maybe with 2 cameras back to back, more slimmer and more lighter than first ipad. maybe it will change my mind if go down the galaxy tab to $299 for 600 that so pain.

Netbooks are so cramped and a pain to use. I can't wait to get one in my hands and play with it. Can't wait to compare it with the iPad – though l'm not even considering one of those as it won't run Flash…

i'd rather spend my money on a netbook or laptop for half the price.theres no point in getting one if u already have an adroid phone and if u dont u still can do more with a netbook, just a new tech toy that will get old imo. . .
