Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet specs with OLED

We have some good Samsung news to bring you now, especially those who are on the look out for new Samsung tablets in 2014. We may have had the Galaxy Note Pro series announced recently, but we can confirm that Samsung are already planning their next big move for Summer.

It’s been revealed that a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet is on the way, along with a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 tablet model as well. The big news about these two new tablets is that unlike the Galaxy Pro range, the Galaxy Tab S will be coming with OLED display technology.

This is massive for fans, for a number of reasons. As good as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet looks, the display is only LCD based, but the 10.5 Galaxy Tab S will be AMOLED offering superior display quality.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S pictures have now leaked online courtesy of SamMobile. The image you can see below shows the 10.5-inch model in all of its glory. The Galaxy Tab S specs are impressive too, with the 10.5-inch model coming with an octa-core Exynos 5420 CPU with four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores.

That is some impressive horse power you have to say and it means that performance is going to be a non-issue, especially playing the very best of what the Google Play Store can offer for gaming.

Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and LTE, The display itself will offer a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels so this really is top of the line that Samsung are churning out.

There is no information on storage yet, but we expect MicroSD support plus the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB options -plus the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat, or even Android 4.5 if it out by then.

Samsung hasn’t made this official yet, so it could be a planned Summer announcement. Enjoy the pictures and let us know what you think of these specs. Could this be the tablet that takes on new iPad 2014 models later this year?
