We have some great news for Samsung Galaxy Tab E owners out there, as Samsung and T-Mobile have just confirmed that the tablet is going to be getting an official update to Android 8.0 Oreo in 2018.

If you have the T-Mobile version of this device, you are in luck as T-Mobile has just sent out word that the update is on the way.

You can see the official document confirming this here, which means that soon the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 will enjoy Oreo features such as faster boot-up times, picture-in-picture mode to show two apps at once and much more.

There’s no set release date yet, but we have a feeling you won’t have to wait long. It also gives International Galaxy Tab E 8.0 owners hope that their Android 8.0 Oreo update will be coming soon too.
