Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7 Vs Galaxy Tab 3 specs review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is available this month with a big discount. This is Samsung’s answer to the budget tablet category, but how does it stand up in a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Vs Galaxy Tab 3 specs review?

Its bigger brother, the Galaxy Tab 3 has been available for a long time since going on sale in the Summer of 2013. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 on the other hand has been out since the start of 2014 so it’s still a good option for those that want a cheaper price.

What is the difference between the two though in terms of specs? We can see that both devices have a 7-inch display with a 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and ppi of 170.

Both tablets also share similarities in the fact that they both run on a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor. However the Tab 3 uses the Marvell PXA869 chipset, while the Tab 3 Lite uses the Marvell PXA986 instead.

There’s 1GB of RAM on both tablets, but differences with the camera since there is a 3.15MP rear camera on the Tab 3 and a 1.3MP on the front. The Tab 3 Lite however has a 2MP rear camera but no front camera at all.

Samsung has also given the Tab 3 Lite a slightly lower battery capacity too – 4,000mAh for the Tab 3, but a 3600mAh for the Tab 3 Lite.

The fact that you cannot enjoy video chats on the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite 7.0 may be a good reason as to why it’s available for a lower price than its bigger brother.
