Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 with GamePad in 2014

Earlier this week we told you that Samsung were planning to cater to gamers, with the availability of a physical Samsung GamePad. Now, the company are taking it to the next level, confirming that a special edition of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will come with a GamePad out of the box in 2014.

Gaming on mobile devices has become a massive trend in 2013, with games like GTA San Andreas proving that there is always an alternative available for those who don’t have access to a PS4, Xbox One or PC.

It appears that Samsung are on the same wave length, as you’ll now be able to navigate through the Google Play catalog with the luxury of using an actual controller. If you want to do so on a tablet, then Samsung are keen for you to try this with their Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 next year.

A photo has emerged showing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Game Edition, which includes the 8-inch tablet along with a GamePad and HDMI adaptor – allowing users easy access to hook up to a television for full screen mobile gaming with a controller.

Unfortunately, there’s no Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 US or UK release date yet, or a price for that matter. It’s almost certain that this package will turn up at CES 2014 though, so we’ll bring you the details when we can.

Is this something you would be interested in picking up next year, or are you waiting to pick up one of Samsung’s newer tablets – like this rumored 10.5-inch tablet?
