Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7 review for gaming tested

Over the weekend, we talked about the popular Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch tablet and how it compared to the new Nexus 7 2013 in a short video review. Now though, we switch our focus to how the tablet shapes up in the gaming department and whether it can handle some of the demanding games on the Google Play Store.

Just to remind you, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch model ships with a dual-core 1.2Ghz processor only, so already it is at a disadvantage to tablets such as the Nexus 7 2013 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX which both ship with blazing fast quad-core processors for gaming.

Having said that, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Galaxy Tab 3 is still capable of delivering capable gaming performance. A video we have included below gives you a perfect example of this, testing three popular games to show how the tablet handles when under pressure.

We see games such as Virtua Tennis running great on the tablet, but unfortunately it appears that the Galaxy Tab 3 may have one or two issues running GTA 3 on optimum quality. We see one or two performance issues in the video below, so you may want to take this into consideration if you are thinking of picking up the Galaxy Tab 3 7, solely for gaming purposes.

For those that have this tablet already – how would you rate it in terms of gaming performance? It still could be a fantastic option though for under $200 during the sales.
