Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700: Release on Rogers soon, Android 2.0 possible

We have some good news for Rogers customers in Canada now, as we are hearing reports that the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 handset could be seeing a release soon.

As reported from BGR, the Spica is yet another addition to Canada’s growing list of Android-equipped handsets. More importantly though, it is thought that the Spica i5700 could come with Android 2.0, instead of 1.5, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Key specs for the device include a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive display, 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, aGPS, a 800MHz processor and 3G connectivity.

If you’re interested in picking this one up, it will be available for $79.99 on a 3-year contract, or a hefty $449.99 without contract.
