Earlier this year Samsung upgraded their flagship Galaxy S3 model with their new S4, and some of you felt let down because Samsung did not go far enough with the upgraded model. However, when you look a little closer there were major changes to the hardware, it is just the exterior did not change as much as people had hoped.
This is not the same story for the Note 3, due for release soon, because its design has been tweaked to be lighter and thinner compared to the outgoing Note 2, as well as improved specs. Those specs are far better than those on the Galaxy S4, and so we have to wonder if some of these will be used on a future flagship device?
What we mean by this is whether we can gain a Samsung Galaxy S5 specs insight from those Note 3 specs. We say this because the Note 3 specs are far better than those of the S4, and so could be used in the S5 next year. Okay, we know there is a way to go for its release but will Samsung only use this technology in the Note 3, we think not?
With the many changes of the Note 3 compared to the outgoing Note 2, we have to wonder if the Galaxy S5 will come with a lighter and thinner design? Then there is the little subject of the rear cover, because we know there has been much talk about the S5 not having a plastic cover, so would we see a faux leather back instead? If this were the case then those rumors of a metal or carbon fiber back would have just been mere rumors.
Another aspect of the Note 3 that could make its way to the Galaxy S5 is the base storage, as this has gone from 16GB to 32GB. One of the biggest reasons for this is because app sizes are now getting bigger, and so demands far more space on your handset.
One more possible Galaxy S5 feature that we could see thanks to the Note 3 is 4K video recording, because it is clear this technology looks set to be the next big thing allowing users to share videos in a new video quality standard. Remember, this is mere speculation, but it does make you think.
What other Galaxy Note 3 features do you think we can see brought to the Galaxy S5 next year?
