Samsung Galaxy S5 – Predicting the design

We know that it has only been a few months since the release of the Galaxy S4, but this has not stopped the speculation as to the Galaxy S5. One of the main reasons for people being eager to discuss the next model in the ever-popular series was because the latest version did not have the significant design changes that we had hoped.

It’s for this reason why people have now been predicting the design of the Samsung Galaxy S5, and there’s a general consensus that it will be very different to the S4, but as we have discussed on a number of occasions, people cannot make their mind up as to what design they would like to see.

We’ve already seen several Galaxy S5 concepts, with some going for a more traditional design, whereas others have taken a bolder approach, and it’s the latter that we would rather see. If we are to believe some of the more recent rumors, then the S5 will be constructed from carbon fiber, and not metal, as many of us had assumed. This would be a different direction to what other phone manufacturers are going in, and we’d love to know if you would rather a metal or carbon fiber Galaxy S5?

Going back to the bolder approach that we discussed earlier, there’s a strong possibility that Samsung will move away from the current design and could even adopt a flexible Galaxy S5 design instead, considering the technology should be ready for mass production by then.

Personally, we would love to see a Samsung Galaxy S5 will a completely new design, but not certain if we are ready for full flexible displays, although having the screen bend around the edges a little and doing away with the physical buttons would be a nice touch. Take a look at the concept videos below and see if they give you any ideas.
