Samsung Galaxy S4 looms as 5-inch AMOLED production begins

We know that the Galaxy S4 is coming, we just don’t know when, although we do have a pretty good idea. We also know that Samsung already announced that they were to produce a new 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, and we’re happy to say that this display is soon to enter production.

Given that this display is soon to enter production coupled with the rumors that the S4 will have an increased display, it makes sense to put two and two together and come up with the obvious. You also need to take into consideration that Samsung could unveil their new flagship device in March with the intention of releasing it to the public in April.

Production of Samsung’s 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display is expected to begin sometime this month as reported by Sammyhub, so it is possible that Sammy could make an announcement next month in regards to the Galaxy S4. We are still uncertain that Samsung will use these panels in the S4, but knowing that they want the S3 successor to have a slightly larger display as well as wanting to offer 440ppi or higher is food for thought.

If this does turn out to be true then we do hope that Samsung will put far more effort into the materials they use in the exterior of the S4, because one of the main issues that consumers have with the current Galaxy S3 is the fact that it feels cheap because of it’s plastic shell. However, we don’t want this to deter them from what makes these flagship smartphones so great, and that are their awesome features.
