Update: Samsung Galaxy S4 Barbour cases a matter of time

Barbour has collaborated with Proporta to bring a selection of covers to the iPhone 5S, iPad, iPad mini and the Galaxy S3. These products are the perfect way to give your devices that perfect British outdoor feel, but we have to wonder how long it will be before the Samsung Galaxy S4 Barbour cases are released?

We know the other devices mentioned above have been on the market for a while now, so gave Proporta and Barbour enough time to get all the dimensions right, but it’s just a matter of time before they both start working on the S4 version.

Barbour has been around for years, but thanks to some clever marketing, the brand has been enjoying a renaissance, and offering cases for Apple and Samsung devices is just another step in keeping the brand popular — although the same happened to Burberry several years ago, now we hardly see them.

If the Samsung Galaxy S4 were to get the Barbour treatment, then we can expect to see quilted, tartan, tweed, leather and welly shell being used. You should also see a choice of cases, covers and sleeves.

The Galaxy S4 is not yet on the market, but when the handset is released later this month it should be the biggest selling handset for the next several months. Barbour and Proporta are surely aware of this, and will be taking steps to make the brand even more recognizable by giving the S4 the Barbour treatment.

Prices for the current range of Barbour cases are £19.95 to £79.95 and are already available to purchase in the UK. Or if you are in the US then prices are $26.95 to $99.95.

What other fashion house would you like to see release a range of smartphone and tablet accessories?

Update: It seems there is a Barbour case for the Galaxy S4, but this is currently limited to just the one case for now, but it’s a matter of time before there is a greater choice.
