The Samsung Galaxy S3 mini has a price and size aimed at a different type of user, especially when compared to the full size model, so today we thought a look at the Galaxy S3 mini UI and HD recording in a visual review would help some of our undecided readers. The first video below this article delivers a brief look at the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean UI running on the smaller version of the S3, although we’ve also included a video showing a 720p video sample that demonstrates the recording ability of this smartphone.
You’ll notice that most of the cool Samsung Galaxy S3 features are onboard the mini, and the first video showcases a few of these along with different voice control options. Direct Call and Smart Alert are a couple of our favorite Samsung UI features, and these are quickly shown in the first video as well. Towards the end of this video it explains about the video capture limitations on the Galaxy S3 mini, which include the lack of 1080P support and other video files like DivX.
Samsung’s Galaxy S3 mini might not support 1080P video, but the 720P still looks OK and this can be seen in the second video below this article. The short 30-second visual gives you a taste of what to expect when capturing video on the Galaxy S3 mini, although reactions to this demonstration have not been positive from users. Some people feel it is “poor quality” when compared to similar priced smartphones, but we’ll let you decide that one in the comments.
