The Samsung Galaxy S3 KitKat 4.4.2 update started rolling out a few days ago and US Cellular customers knew it was due thanks to a mention on the official website. This handset isn’t the only device getting some Android 4.4.2 update love, although with so many devices receiving the new software recently you can count on increased upset for those being left out.
We’ve seen a number of Samsung’s phones being treated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and this also includes Galaxy Note 2, but what about Samsung’s Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 and its KitKat 4.4.2 update? One Product Reviews reader made their feelings known in this comment, “It is getting really stupid seeing the more recent S4 running on an old OS, while I see friends using the Galaxy S3 getting its KitKat 4.4.2 update. When will we see 4.4.x release for GT-I9506?”.
Do you still want the Samsung Galaxy S4 KitKat 4.4.2 update and if not, what model and phone do you want to see an update for? If you haven’t installed the latest software, then you can check within Settings and click General. Here you will see the About Phone tab followed by Software Updates, so click to this section to see if you can manually install a new update.
If we do see the Galaxy S4 GT-I9506 receive Android 4.4.2 you will be the first to know, so keep connected via Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or another one of our social channels. Upgraders should note that some users updating their S3 received issues with not being able to turn on wifi, so if you have any problems with your S3 leave a comment.
