We have some good news for our readers in the UK now, as Samsung has just confirmed that the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Galaxy S smartphone will be releasing early next month.
You are probably aware that the update is now available for Galaxy S owners in other regions, but at least Samsung UK has informed their customers of a release ETA.
As reported from Phandroid, Samsung UK has just sent a Twitter message out, stating that Froyo will be available ‘early November’ for Galaxy S owners in the UK.
Here it is in full: ”The Froyo upgrade will be available in the UK from early November and we expect all operator versions to be available by the end of November.”
Hopefully by early, they are indicating that it will be out during the first week of November, but you never know with these pesky Froyo updates.
If you have a Galaxy S and live in the UK, let us know your thoughts on this. Are you upset that other regions have it and you do not?
