Samsung Galaxy Note 4 display rumors reignite

Would you say that the Galaxy Note 4 is the most anticipated Samsung device of 2014, even ahead of the Galaxy S5 release date, which is also looming? Fans seem to be very excited about the larger arrival later this year, especially with continuing rumors suggesting that Samsung will make drastic changes to the Galaxy Note 4 display.

If you have been keeping a close eye on Galaxy Note 4 rumors, you are probably aware that there is increased speculation that Samsung will make the Note 4 their first maintstream device to feature the ‘Youm’ technology, or in other words – a curved display.

Specifically, we are again hearing whispers this week from Korea suggesting that the Galaxy Note 4 could come with the three-sided display as seen in the image above, which was originally unveiled to the world as a prototype design.

Of course, it’s not the first time we have heard about such rumors, as it was back in January that we first told you that this could be a reality in the future.

Here you see how the rounded display would function.

Using the curved edges of the display, Samsung could use an innovative new approach that will allow them to display useful information, such as caller ID, the date and time and other relevant micro-widgets whilst the phone is in a locked state.

If this plan goes ahead, you have to say that it is a brave move for Samsung to choose the Galaxy Note 4 as the first device to showcase the new technology. It looked amazing in prototype form though, so we can’t wait to see what Samsung has been improving on in the last few months behind closed doors.

Would you be surprised if we see a Galaxy Note 4 release at the end of this year, with a three-sided-display?

More importantly, would you be willing to buy one, or would you opt for the Galaxy S5 instead with its traditional display form?
