Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Exynos 5 bliss at IFA 2013

Over a week ago, we talked about the possibility of the Galaxy Note 3 being equipped with one of Samsung’s fancy new Exynos 5 Octa chips, which offers 8 processors in a single unit. We also explored some of the initial feedback over that change if it did come to fruition, but now there is actual talk of Samsung making this a reality for their next generation Note 3 release.

Just hours ago, we were only talking about Sony’s adventurous plans for an 6.44-inch phablet device after an apparent image component leak. We thought 6.44-inches was a little bit crazy, but now there’s fresh reports that the Galaxy Note 3 may expand on the Note 3 with an even bigger 6.3-inch display.

Fans of bigger screens inside a smartphone will no doubt be delighted if Samsung are really planning to up the stakes further, but the best news of all is the fact that the same source of the update suggests that the Galaxy Note 3 could be one of the first devices, if not the first to be equipped with the recently announced Exynos 5 Octa chip.

An article by the Korea Times references both the 6.3 inch screen and the Exynos 5 Octa chip inclusions, while there are also whispers that the device will be unveiled at the IFA 2013 event in September – a logical assumption given that the Galaxy Note 2 was announced at the same event a year before and the original Note as well in 2011.

Apple is expected to release a new iPhone around the same period, but can you honestly say that you’ll be instantly attached to the Galaxy Note 3 more than any other device if it is definitely releasing in 2013? Samsung seems to have hit a gold mine at the moment with the Note family and we see no signs of it slowing down.
