Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in 5 days across UK

Have you decided to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in the UK? If you have, you don’t have long to wait at all, as Samsung has just confirmed an official release date for when the device will be going on sale in the country.

As most of you are aware, US consumers are being made to wait for their Note 2, with no sign of a release period yet with Samsung clearly prioritizing UK and Europe sales first. The Korean manufacturer has said this week that the device will be going on sale on October 1, which is the coming Monday.

It is also a day before retailers such as Phones 4 U sell the device, as we told you in our previous report here. Expect to pay up to £40 a month on contract if you want unlimited data and the Note 2 for free without paying a one off price – otherwise, you can pay around £550 outright to buy the device without a contract.

As a UK consumer, how does it feel knowing that you have finally have the chance to pick up the latest smartphone before US consumers get their hands on it? Aside from previewing that gorgeous 5.5-inch display, you’ll also have the chance to get your mits on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, as the Galaxy Note 2 comes pre-loaded with the latest version of Android out of the box.

If you’ve already decided that the Note 2 is your next device, you may want to check the tariff plans on Phones 4 U to see which network is best for you. Is the iPhone 5 hype firmly in the past with the Note 2 on the horizon?
