Samsung Galaxy Gear hands-on review

The UNPACKED 2013 event is on right now and Samsung Galaxy Gear was revealed right at the start of this event, as seen in our continually updated article, but in this post we wanted to feature a Samsung Galaxy Gear hands-on review.

You can see the 5-minute hands-on above this article and we have been informed that the Samsung Galaxy Gear will hit a release date later on this month in the UK and Europe, although the USA will need to wait until October.

Samsung aims to reinvent a device we have used for years with the Galaxy Gear and after looking at the keynote presentation along with this hands-on review, we are impressed.

If you own a Samsung Galaxy Android phone then the Gear range might change your life when full support is offered, especially if you have a large phone and want to use gear when making and receiving calls. The Samsung Galaxy Gear is only compatible with Note 3, 10.1 at launch.

When I was younger a watch was essential, but after using smartphones for years it seems that I only use wrist watches when dressing up and going somewhere special. The Smart Watch craze looks to change all that and what Samsung has shown with Galaxy Gear only supports this possibility.

Watches could soon become your smartphones partner and as phones get bigger, just like Samsung’s phablet range, it is even more likely that we will take phone calls on a watch rather than holding that big device up to our ear.

Take a look at the quick Samsung Galaxy Gear hands-on review above, then leave a comment with your thoughts below.
