You only need to take a quick visit to the Samsung Galaxy S3 official US gallery page to notice that you’ll still have a choice of white and blue, although this spinning phone will change to a number of other colors soon, which will include grey, black, red, and brown. You can see a few photos on this page that showcase the new Galaxy S3 colors.
Some people love nearly all their gadgets to be covered in black and we reported about this color coming to the Samsung Galaxy S3 a few weeks ago, which is now about to happen with “Sapphire Black” and can be seen in the photo below. Samsung has made it clear that their colors are inspired by different places in the world, and this color and design apparently comes from the ancient times in Persia and India.
The color black is said to represent an increased amount of willpower and Samsung also stated that ancient black stones were used for protection, so if you want the Galaxy S3 to be coated in a color that makes you feel protected then black is the way to go. We’d recommend you still use a case though, not that we don’t believe in the ancient stones, let’s just be on the safe side.
If you want to live a little more dangerous then we’d recommended going the “Garnet Red” route, which is a gemstone apparently connected with protection in the Egyptian times. For us the color red is ideal for those that want their gadget to stand out, and don’t mind being a little daring. It is fair to say that this type of red is a little less bright, so it might complement the smooth Galaxy S3 design nicely.
The two other Samsung Galaxy S3 colors are Amber Brown and Titanium Grey, which can be seen via this website with a detailed description about the meanings behind each color. We’d also love to know your thoughts on the way Samsung explain the story behind each color, do you like this or are you looking only as far as the new colors?
What is your favorite Samsung Galaxy S III color? We love these new colors and the original marble white looked pretty good, but for us it still has to be pebble blue that’s our favorite color for the flagship Samsung smartphone. It’s worth noting that these new colors will depend on carriers, so don’t expect all of the networks to stock them. Existing Galaxy S3 owners should see their smartphone receiving Jelly Bean very soon, which could even be as soon as tomorrow.
