Looking for a cheap and cheerful touchscreen handset? if so, you want to check out the recently unveiled Samsung Champ, this handset is apparently Samsung’s cheapest ever touchscreen phone.
As you would expect the Champ is pretty simplistic, it features a 2.4 inch touchscreen display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot and Bluetooth 2.1, oh and there is also a 3.5mm headset jack.
The handset’s software is nothing special either, it runs Samsung’s TouchWiz Lite and supports access to Samsung Apps, to be honest the technical specs seem to suggest that this will be great first phone for the kids or low-end users, but nothing more than that.
No details regarding pricing have been revealed, however IntoMobile’s recent article hints at a price of between $100-$150, as for a release we can expect to see this handset available in ’emerging markets’ such as the Middle East, Latin America and Africa.
For the price isn’t too bad in terms of looks, also with the options of four different colors (black, brown, pink or white) it may increase it’s appeal. For more details check out the link below.
