Samsung boost Android devices with Galaxy Gamepad launch

Samsung has managed to get their act together and has readied their Galaxy Gamepad for Christmas, proving a boost to Android devices. The device enhances gaming on a range of Android products.

The Samsung Galaxy Gamepad is compatible with Android devices between 4 and 6.3 inches. In terms of software you need to be running version 4.2.2 Jellybean or above, see about upgrading to KitKat 4.4.2 here. Using the Gamepad with certain Samsung devices will enable extra functionality like the mobile console app which is activated using the play button.

The Galaxy Gamepad was first announced during the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S4, although it is finally ready to ship to Europe. The device has had a design change and upgrades applied since we last saw it, an overall improvement, hit the link for more specs. We do not yet have an exact launch date or price for the Galaxy Gamepad, although it is understood it will ship in Europe before North America this month.
