It seems with the technology of today televisions are all about 3D, but many issues surrounding the use of 3D glasses seems to be affecting people buying them , that and the prices of course. Well we have news of a 3D TV from Samsung that means glasses could be a thing of the past.
Although a Samsung 3D TV without glasses may not appear for another three years. They first announced their TV at the FPD China 2011 which took place this month in Shanghai. There they had a 55” prototype 3D LCD TV.
The news comes from an article by Shinya Saeki at TechOn which explains how the TV works with the naked eye. The 3D image being displayed has nine viewpoints with an optimal viewing distance of up to six meters.
The new TV from Samsung will also have the capability of switching from 3D to 2D, direct-lit CCFL backlight unit, 500cd/m2 and 4,000:1 and 1,920 x 1,080 full HD.
