Saints Row: The Third – New Initiation Station Feature Revealed

We have a bit of interesting news now for all you Saints Row fans out there, as THQ has just announced a brand new character-creation feature for the much-anticipated Saints Row: The Third game. The new Initiation Station system will enable you to create your own character for the new game.

According to Johnny Cullen over on the website, THQ says that players will be able to create characters that are inspired by their favorite professional athletes or celebrities. They could even create a character as Steelport’s latest costumed superhero or villain.

What’s more is that the characters can even be shared with friends. It even allows players to download other people’s characters and tweak them as they see fit. The system will also enable you to collaborate with their friends, so you can create a ‘dynamic duo’ of characters to play co-op.

Some of the examples that were given by the publisher were Tag-team wrestling partners, Cowboy and Indian and even Dominatrix and sex slave!! The Initiation Station feature will be available for free for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, with those who pre-order Red Faction: Armageddon gaining early access.

Unfortunately THQ didn’t mention a release date for the new Initiation Station character creation system. Do you like the idea of this new feature?
