Like the 2014 Corvette Stingray a convertible version of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is very much desired, and while the former was already confirmed, we were not certain if the latter would go ahead. We can now tell you that the Rolls-Royce Wraith convertible has been confirmed for 2015, with its release date to be announced at a later date.
It seems that Rolls-Royce is trying to copy Jaguar and offer an increased portfolio. We have already seen evidence of this with the Phantom and the Ghost, and so offering two versions of the Wraith along with a rumored SUV shows the future is very bright for the company.
We have yet to learn the Rolls-Royce Wraith convertible price, but we expect it to be just a little higher than the standard Wraith price of $320,000 — although this model is anything but standard. We cannot be certain if the luxury car manufacturer will stick with the Wraith convertible or go by a different name, but we’d love to know your thoughts.
However, we can tell you that the 2015 Rolls-Royce Wraith convertible specs will be similar to the hardtop version, along with its performance figures. Which means you can expect the same V12 6.6-liter engine with a power output of 624 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds.
Do you think the price of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is worth it, or do you now think the new Mercedes-Benz S-class has more to offer in terms of its interior?
