Rollei launches 3 new full HD Movieline SD camcorders

If you’re currently thinking about buying a new camcorder, then I think we have some news that may well be of interest to you. German optical goods manufacturer Rollei has just launched three brand new full HD camcorders, the Movieline SD 800 P (the highlight of the new camcorder collection), Movieline SD 80 and the Movieline SD 230.

As recently noted by Zoltan Arva-Toth over on the website, the Rollei Movieline SD 800 P model — which is priced up at €349.95 — is most likely the company’s most interesting digital video camera yet. The Movieline SD 800 P not only comes with image stabilization and an 8x optical zoom, it also includes a built-in projector!!

The built-in projector allows users to display their videos at a size of up to 150cm on any available surface. This model also features a 3-inch touch screen that can be used to adjust any of the settings. Thanks to its light weight — only 280 grams — and compact design, the Movieline SD 800 P is the ideal camcorder to carry around in a handbag.

Meanwhile, the Movieline SD 80 is a smaller model that’s ideal for newcomers to the world of video recording. The camcorder features a 3-inch touch screen with a 16:9 format, an 8x optical zoom and a 120x digital zoom. It also comes with various functions such as time lapse, 8 different scene modes, electronic video stabilization, automatic face recognition and slow motion.

As for the price and availability, the Movieline SD 80 is available to purchase now for a recommended retail price of €199.95. The final model launched is the Rollei Movieline SD 230, which features a 23x optical zoom and a 120x digital zoom. The touch panel is slightly larger on this model at 3.5-inches, which also comes with a 16:9 format.

Thanks to a dual stream function, the Movieline SD 230 has the ability to record video simultaneously in two formats: full HD for viewing at home and WQVGA for viewing on the Internet (via YouTube). The Movieline SD 230 model is available to purchase as from now for a suggested retail price of €249.95. All models can also take 5-megapixel stills.

Included in the delivery of these camcorders are AV and USB cables, a lithium ion battery, an HDMI cable, which allows you to view your videos on a large screen HDTV and a 32GB SD / SDHC memory card. Are you thinking about buying a new video camera?
