Rocksmith 2014 is scheduled to release on October 22 on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and this upcoming title from Ubisoft is regarded more as a replacement as opposed to a sequel of the 2011 game Rocksmith. With Rocksmith 2014 players will be able to plug in almost any bass or electric guitar and play it with the use of a “Hercules” adapter, which is a USB cable that connects to the standard 1â„4 in (6.35 mm) output jack available on the majority of bass and electric guitars.
With that in mind other guitars like acoustic versions will require additional hardware, such as a pickup. The game intends to be more like a teaching tool in comparison to the original title with over 85 lessons covering bends, slides accents and more, with the introduction of a new finger positioning tool.
Above this article we have embedded a UK video of the Rocksmith 2014 Session mode, which lasts around three minutes and provides some brief yet valuable insight into the game. This gives us a look at the opportunity to lead your own band, and runs us through some informative new features and modes in the game.
The Session Mode gives players the chance to lead an artificially intelligent band, which reacts accordingly, so if you are playing aggressively the band will accompany this, while placid play will also see the band follow your actions.
According to reports, Rocksmith 2014 is ideal for the newcomer, as well as those familiar with the last outing, and there are plenty of guides for those just starting out. With that in mind, experts can jump straight in and use the entire guitar neck by zooming out. This is ideal for those who do not want to start off at the lowest difficulty.
Other new improvements include the enhanced Master Mode, which is great for memory-playing and new Guitarcade minigames are a fun way to keep that practice up. In addition, Rocksmith 2014 also contains new missions which have been added to direct players towards the areas they need to improve on and challenges this to make continuous progress.
Are you looking forward to jamming with Rocksmith 2014?
