Review of Office for iPad underlines pros and cons

It’s been a long time coming, but Microsoft for Office is finally here and it is clear that this app is going to make a huge amount of profit for the software giant — well that’s the hope. We say this because we do wonder if Excel, PowerPoint and Word for the iPad is a bit late to the party considering there are some decent alternatives out there?

Once Microsoft made the new Office for iPad available we knew that there would be a horde of reviews all over the Internet, as so many of us were eager to see just what Microsoft managed to come up with, and allow us to gauge whether this app was worth the long wait.

Below you will find a selection of Office for iPad video reviews, and from those you will be able to learn the apps pros and cons. Before you start to say, it is just going to be like the iPhone version, but made larger for the iPad, then you would be mistaken.

Microsoft went back to the drawing board and worked from the ground up on the Office for iPad app, and the result is an app that looks more like software that you would usually see on your laptop or desktop computer.

Given that this is unlike the iPhone version, it means Office for iPad comes packed with a host of new features, ones that take full advantage of Apple’s tablet.

When taking each Office for iPad review into consideration we can tell that the pros for the app are a very beautiful and uncluttered UI, a huge amount of customization options, performance is smooth, and a feature rich experience.

However, those cons consist of the need for subscription, which means it could struggle against rivals offering theirs for free, you are not able to print documents, and you can only insert images from your Camera Roll.

We are sure that Microsoft is already working on an Office for iPad update because being unable to not print your document is a huge negative, one that needs to be rectified.

What is your overall impression of Office for iPad?
