Over the years we have seen some pretty awesome speaker docks and while many of them required you to dock your device physically onto the speaker, the better ones came out a little later with Bluetooth built-in. Now these audio devices give you much more scope, just as the ION Block Rocker Bluetooth Portable Speaker System does.
You can stream music from anywhere, as long as you are within range of the Bluetooth signal, and will pretty much help to liven up any party you happen to have going on at home or a small hall. That’s not all because this large Bluetooth speaker also comes with a microphone, allowing people to play along with the music, adding yet more fun to your night.
We will offer you a review of the ION Block Rocker specs very soon, but before then wanted to point you in the direction of two video reviews. The first is more of an unboxing and then gets into a small review, although it covers all the basics, such as features and how it performs.
In the second video we are left feeling a little disappointed because what we assumed looked to be an awesome speaker might be the complete opposite. The caption on that review actually says “When Bigger Proves Not To Be Better”. We ask that you watch both these videos below to get a better understanding of how two different people feel about this Bluetooth speaker.
The ION Block Rocker Bluetooth speaker specs sound impressive on paper, although still feel a little disappointed with that second video review. Having said that, we should not let one person put us off, and even though its sound does not offer the sort of power and quality some of you were hoping for, it still has a lot to offer and so perfect for so many of you out there.
You have the ability to stream from almost any Bluetooth device, or use the dock designed for iPads, which we are not too sure many of you will do. We said above how the addition of an input for a microphone does help this speaker win a few extra points. If you just wish to listen to the radio you can thanks to a built-in digital FM and AM radio, although not sure you would need this because you can use an app to get a great number more broadcasts.
There is a USB port so you can charge your smartphone, tablet or other MP3 and media players. However, to help increase portability the speaker comes with a built-in rechargeable battery offering up to 12 hours of use on a single charge.
We have a list of more if its technical specifications above in the hope that you are not too worried about paying the price and buying this product.
