Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City – New Game Unveiled

A few days ago we announced that the Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica games were to be remade in high definition for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Now we have even more good news for all you Resident Evil fans out there, as it appears a brand new RE game has just been unveiled.

As WhoIsDo over on the website recently noted, it had already been suggested that Slant Six was working on a new Resident Evil title, and it now appears that the Official Xbox Magazine has confirmed the said rumors by revealing a few details about the upcoming game.

The game in question — which is due out later this year and will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 — is entitled Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and is said to let fans enjoy the Resident Evil series from a brand new perspective: as the women and men technically responsible for everything.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will see gamers playing the roles of members of the official Umbrella Security Services team. The game features three different factions: the USS team, the US Spec Ops and the BOWs (bio-organic weapon monsters), which were created by Umbrella.

Depending on how you play the game, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will give players the option of changing the history of Resident Evil. Players will not only get the opportunity to meet and interact with different characters from throughout the series, buy they’ll even get the chance to kill them.
