Only last week we told you about the new trailer for the next installment of the Resident Evil franchise, which has been given a November launch time frame. A few days later we have some news that the Resident Evil 6 release date will bring some new online features to the popular game.
These features that are reportedly coming in the title will be good news for fans of the series, and according to an article over at SlashGear it will have some new online multiplayer action. Many of today’s big gaming titles support online gaming, and is now becoming the most important feature for many users.
The new information about the game has come via a Microsoft product page detailing some of the new features. These include an offline co-op feature for up to two players, but it is not known if this is for split-screen or LAN. But it’s the online features that look more interesting that include a multiplayer mode, which will support between two and eight players.
There is also an online co-op version for between two and six players and DLC downloads are also promised. Capcom themselves have yet to release any official press releases for the game yet, but it is highly likely we will hear something shortly.
It will be the first game since the last installment was released in 2009 and again opens up the debate between annual releases and titles such as this and GTA 5. Are you looking forward to Resident Evil 6?
