Renders for Nexus Prime, psychic Samsung

We are only a few days into October, but there is much to be excited about in the smartphone world. We already know that a new iPhone will be announced tomorrow, but for those Android fans, then you will have to wait until next week, as this is when the rumored Nexus Prime is meant to land during Mobile Unpacked. We now have some renders for you, and if Samsung are to go with this design, then all we can say is that they are psychic.

We say that, but it would have been down to ciccaresedesign, as they were the ones who came up with these renders, and we cannot help comparing them to what we have already seen for the iPhone 5/4S. We do hope that the Prime will look a little like these renders that you can see here, because they look very sexy and sleek — wouldn’t hold your breath though.

There are a few similarities between this and the Nexus S, although there are a few tweaks that give these renders the edge. We do not expect this to be the final design, as Ice Cream Sandwich does not need the standard four buttons that other Android handsets have; this is a good thing, as the touchscreen will have a much slicker look to it.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the new iPhone and Nexus Prime will compare in not only looks, but hardware as well. However, from what we think we know, it is the latter that will win out in the specs department. What do you think of these Nexus Prime renders? We just hope that Samsung and Google stay as faithful to them as they possibly can.
