Renault will ‘Get You Home’ if your EV battery runs dry

With the future of automobile heading in the electric direction, talks from worrying owners about where to re-charge have been the main issues as there is a distinct lack of EV chargers for electric cars compared the amount of gas pumps.

It could be years before we see a major transition between the amounts of EVs to gas engine cars therefore probably even longer before EV chargers become as popular as regular gas pumps. This is probably why Renault has come up with assurance.

The French car manufacturers have promised that if your EV battery dies while on your journey, they will ‘get you home’ by charging your dead battery for you in the meantime providing you with a loan car.

As the article at Autocar explains the policy is aimed at those that lack a lot of EV charging stations and is only available to those that genuinely ran out of juice due to uncontrollable circumstances such as unexpected traffic and extreme weather.

Does this new guarantee from Renault offer enough reassurance for you to want to get an EV? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
