Renault Clio RS Monaco GP debuts at Geneva Motor Show

The new Renault Clio RS Monaco GP edition has been revealed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show highlighting some cosmetic alterations, and a recent announcement by the firm suggests that the Clio RS Monaco GP edition will be accessible to 20 different markets by the end of the month.

While we are still unsure of whether this includes the UK we are interested to know what is being said about the new edition. Auto Express run through all the specifics and discuss the exclusive pearlescent white paintwork. The new Clio comes with an optional black roof and in this image we can see the platinum grey paintjob, which will be accessible within selected markets.

As we take a look under hood the 197bhp 1.6-litre engine is unchanged and mated to the six-speed twin-clutch EDC transmission. Other additions include visual tweaks and black flourishes on the front grille, not to mention the new door handles, alloy wheels, side sills and rear diffuser.

Other new aspects like the extra-tinted glass on the rear screen and windows also add a nice touch, while the new R.S. Monitor 2.0 telemetry system is optional.

We still haven’t heard an official price yet, but we estimate this will be slightly higher than the established standard Clio RS, so something over the £18,995 mark is to be expected. Are you interested in the new Clio RS Monaco GP edition?
