Release Excitement: COD MW3, Battlefield 3, Killzone 3?

This year is going to be one to remember for FPS fans, as three of the biggest franchises are set to grace home consoles with the possible arrival of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, and Killzone 3 all in the same year.

We all know that Killzone 3 is imminent on the PS3 this month, and EA will be unveiling Battlefield 3 and it’s brand new engine at the next big gaming event – GDC 2011 in San Francisco on February 28th.

As for Modern Warfare 3, details are very scarce at the moment, but the latest is that Sledgehammer Gamers will be co-developing the game along with franchise veterans Infinity Ward.

If you had to choose between the three games, which one are you most looking forward to? We can guess that most of you are not going to say Killzone 3, as the old age battle between Call of Duty and Battlefield remains as tasty as ever.

We recently saw some fantastic in-game screenshots for Battlefield 3, so all eyes are on Activision to see if they can top the immensely popular MW2. If both BF3 and MW3 release towards the end of the year, gamers are once again going to have to make a decision on which game will take priority, exactly like what happened for MW2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

COD is the most predictable linear crap i've ever had the misfortune to play. I havent played battlefield since Vietnam a good few years back – And that was awesome!
KillZone is my game, it absolutely destroys cod in every possible way – The online rankign system is creative and unrivalled and the way you have to work as a team when playing online is simply fantastic.
COD is a big hyped up joke in my opinion.

People comlpain about kids playing a computer game, WTF…
And as for them talking, there are several things you can do.
Get xbox and start a party with friends.
Mute them.
OR JUST TURN YOUR GOD DAMN MIC OFF!!!
Stop complaining and start killing them,
If You Can That Is.
I cant wait for BF3, but I'm craving MW3.
Also I just got the mile high club achievement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cod is garbage but im kinda glad that it is such a big game. its like a magnet, if your stupid enough to get caught up in the cod hype, i dont want you playing my game anyways. Im excited for battlefield 3, ive had enough 10yr olds singing eminem through my mics. I wanna play with people who have gone through puberty =)

I think that CoD is a more popular franchise than Killzone and Battlefield. Im not trying to say CoD is better than the other two, but that it has more games because it has always been a fan favorite. In my mind they all are good. Hope I helped out 😉
