Release Excitement: COD MW3, Battlefield 3, Killzone 3?

This year is going to be one to remember for FPS fans, as three of the biggest franchises are set to grace home consoles with the possible arrival of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, and Killzone 3 all in the same year.

We all know that Killzone 3 is imminent on the PS3 this month, and EA will be unveiling Battlefield 3 and it’s brand new engine at the next big gaming event – GDC 2011 in San Francisco on February 28th.

As for Modern Warfare 3, details are very scarce at the moment, but the latest is that Sledgehammer Gamers will be co-developing the game along with franchise veterans Infinity Ward.

If you had to choose between the three games, which one are you most looking forward to? We can guess that most of you are not going to say Killzone 3, as the old age battle between Call of Duty and Battlefield remains as tasty as ever.

We recently saw some fantastic in-game screenshots for Battlefield 3, so all eyes are on Activision to see if they can top the immensely popular MW2. If both BF3 and MW3 release towards the end of the year, gamers are once again going to have to make a decision on which game will take priority, exactly like what happened for MW2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
