Red Faction: Armageddon – Pre-Order Bonuses Unveiled

We have some rather interesting news now for those of you that are thinking about buying a copy of Volition, Inc’s much-anticipated Red Faction: Armageddon game, as the publisher THQ has just unveiled a list of pre-order bonuses that are now available from four different retailers.

According to Trung Bui over at, the retailers in question are Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop. If you decide to pre-order the third-person action game from Amazon for example, you will receive a free downloadable copy of the Red Faction: Battlegrounds game for the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Those who reserve a copy of the game from GameStop will not only receive a free downloadable copy of the Red Faction: Battlegrounds game, but they will also get the Commando Pack. The Commando Pack contains a Plasma Thrower weapon, dual Laser Pistol weapons and an Armored Commando Uniform.

If you pre-order Red Faction: Armageddon from Best Buy on the other hand, you will receive the Recon Pack containing an Arc Welder weapon, a Clandestine Recon uniform for Spies and Snipers and an XNG-5000 weapon. Meanwhile, Wal-Mart’s pre-order bonus is a Limited Edition comic book.

The story of the Red Faction comic book — which features the protagonist Darius Mason — takes place just before the events of the Armageddon game. The comic book also includes a mini strategy guide from Prima Games. Red Faction: Armageddon is due to be released on May 31st.

Do any of these pre-order bonuses sound tempting to you?
