Red Dead Redemption (PS3 and Xbox 360): Tops UK Software Sales Charts

Last week one of the hottest topics on ProductReviews was Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, therefore it is no surprise to hear that it topped the UK software charts after it’s release just one week ago.

In second place was EA Sports’ 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, followed by Ubisoft’s Just Dance and Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus. Ubisoft will probably be frustrated to hear that the release of Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands didn’t really do to well in the UK, it managed just 9th place, Alan Wake beat it to 8th place.

This is the first multi-platform game to top the UK charts for Rockstar since GTA IV, this game was released in 2008, at the time GTA IV set a record for having the highest first week sales of any video game in the UK, this has since been surpassed by Modern Warfare 2.
